School Quality Reviews
Our School Quality Reviews have a unique focus on student learning.
A School Quality Review informs teaching and learning and assists educators as they set goals for improvement. Reviews provide critical tools to help schools build on their successes in order to improve teaching and promote student achievement. Through self-evaluation, schools build the capacity to engage in a program of continuous quality improvement.
During the review process, school personnel, community members, and reviewers work together to answer questions such as the following:
- How do your schools set goals for improvement?
- What are the special characteristics of each school?
- How effective is the leadership team?
- What factors affect student achievement?
- How well are the students learning?
- What is the quality of teaching?
- How well do students progress and how can we work together to accelerate their progress?
Who are the reviewers?
Our reviewers are educators with unrivalled experience in school improvement throughout the US and the world. Reviewers undertake rigorous training for each review process, follow a continuous assessment procedure, and participate in extensive on-going support and training. We work with states, districts, and schools to train and certify educators to develop peer review systems at all levels.
